There are so many options for glamping in Texas, and they are all unique! Located on the floor of Palo Duro Canyon in the Texas panhandle, Palo Duro Glamping has tents are perfect for families, sleeping up to 6 people.
In addition to the stunning setting, the tents have air conditioning, and a small kitchenette. Glamping kids will be entertained with board games, bikes, corn hole, and the quintessential fire pit, perfect for roasting s’mores in the evening!
14. Tipis on the Guadalupe
Located in New Braunfels, Texas, Tipis on the Guadalupe offers eight different tipis that are awesome for glamping with family. Inside each tent are two or three queen-sized beds with sleeping couches, a cable tv, small kitchenette, and air conditioning (super important in the Texas summer months)!
There is a community game room located inside a TREE HOUSE, with ping pong, board games, and hang out space. Located next to the Guadalupe River, families can swim, go tubing, fish, or just splash in the water. Pack your bags, you’re going to love this place!

16. Under Canvas – multiple locations
If you want to immerse yourself in the great outdoors but don’t want to stray from the comforts of home, you will love the Under Canvas campsites. Many of them are located near National Parks, including the Grand Canyon, Zion, Moab, Great Smoky Mountains, Glacier, Yellowstone, and Mount Rushmore.
These luxury tents are nicer than some of the homes I’ve lived in! Under Canvas has thought of everything from complimentary camp activities to on-site dining and even daily housekeeping inside your tent.
17. Zion Wildflower Resort
Zion Wildflower Resort is located in Greater Zion in the town of Virgin, Utah. It is located half way between Hurricane and Zion National Park. We stayed in a Conestoga wagon our first night and loved it!
The wagon had a super comfortable king sized bed and two sets of bunk beds, each with twin beds. It would easily sleep up to 6 people. There are no bathrooms in the wagons, but it’s an easy walk to the nearest one. Bathrooms are spotless with heat (or A/C in the summer), with a toilet, sink, and shower/tub in each one.
If a covered wagon isn’t your thing, consider renting a different accommodation at Zion Wildflower. There are canvas tents and bungalows that sleep two to six people with their own bathrooms. Note: the room that sleep 6 with the king bed has full size bunk beds which can be a tight squeeze if you have older kids.
There are plenty of great amenities at Zion Wildflower Resort. Fire pits are spread throughout the complex, and there’s a main yard with a playground, ping pong, and corn hole games. Wi-fi is complimentary, but we found it only available near the front office. Also, there are no televisions in the rooms, so this can truly be an unplugged vacation.
18. Backland – Williams, Arizona
Backland is a luxury eco-resort near the Grand Canyon in Northern Arizona. Some of the unique features are tents with panoramic stargazing windows over the king-sized beds, en-suite bathrooms, and even an outdoor patio space.
This glamping site also has nature trails, a pond for kayaking and fishing, a spa, and a firepit where kids can enjoy s’mores and stargazing at night.
19. The Cozy Peach – Queen Creek, Arizona
If you are looking for glamping in Arizona, don’t miss Schnepf Farms. One of the state’s oldest farming families found an awesome way to amp up the glamping experience with their vintage trailers. Located on a 300 acre peach farm, The Cozy Peach glampground has plenty of room for little ones to explore.
Families can enjoy their u-pick gardens with flowers and produce, ride bikes, and see farm animals. Across the street is the Queen Creek Olive Mill, an Italian eatery offering tours, coffee, wood-fired pizza, gelato bar and more.
